In optimizing your site it is indeed important what keywords you choose because the keywords are extremely important from SEO point of view, either you create a new content or optimized the previous post or articles.
The most important factor for choosing a keyword is the number of times the keyword was search in search engines in a defined timeframe. This will give you the idea how often the keyword was searched. But that’s not all. The second important thing is to find out how many websites offer the keywords searched by the other. Knowing these those 2 things you’ll be able to find out niche keywords and popular keywords.
You can use a few services to find out the keywords searched by the others. Actually those statistics are offered by the search engines. Since some of the engines serves only 1% of the market the data can not be considered very accurate but at least it can offer an indication.
- Google AdWords Keyword Tool – is a tool from google. It is free and you can see how frequent the keywords you indicate are used. Along with the keywords you select, it displays the related keywords and synonyms.
- WordTracker – It covers only 1% of the total searches done on the web, with search terms collected from Dogpile and Metacrawler.
- Keyword Discovery – is a another online keyword analysis tool, which gather data by different means from 180 Saerch Engines, including Google an Yahoo.
- NicheBot – is a tool created by one person, which is using both data acquired from Wordtracker and KeywordDiscovery.
